Find a group of school-aged kids Set up training sessions to help kids identify an animal’s body language. Working with stressed, anxious, and high energy animals can help them relax around visitors and perhaps find a home more quickly. Set up parameters for times to read, parent involvement, treat distribution, etc.
After kids complete the training, they can come sit in front of a kennel and share books with the animals.
This can be amended to work with all sorts of animals in all sorts of safe environments.
