Encourages self-expression and requires students to be resourceful, think differently and creatively about writing.
Why it Works:

Ask students to stack books one on top of another, experimenting with the titles to create an image, sentence or short poem (3-5 lines). For students who may struggle, suggest that they try starting with a phrase or just two books that sound funny together.
