What YOU accomplished this year!
Over 8,000 students!
School counselors, classroom teachers, domestic violence prevention educators, and others reached over 8,000 youth from elementary school through high school around the state of Montana in 2015-2016.
*Montana public school enrollment has hovered around 144,000.
Travis, our lead educator, all dressed up to teach Red Lodge middle school students about healthy relationships.
Attended a Power Up, Speak Out! training in 2015-2016.
Trainings were held in Billings, Bozeman, Glendive, Helena, and Wolf Point.
Those who responded to our survey were school counselors, health and PE teachers, domestic violence prevention educators who visited schools, retired teachers who use it with their neighbor kids, self-defense instructors, youth group leaders, school club leaders, and more!
Where is Power Up, Speak Out! used?
Kudos to you all for finding new ways to teach Montana's youth about healthy relationships!
**Violence Prevention Educators work for organizations similar in mission to DSVS/Power Up, Speak Out! We counted each school visited by a Violence Prevention Educator throughout the 2015-2016 school year.
You reported that in 2015-2016, Power Up, Speak Out! was taught in 41% of the counties in Montana! (That's 23 out of 56 counties.)
Thank you! We couldn't do it without you!
