Spot-treat broadleaf weeds, if needed

In early April, apply crabgrass preventer In May, fertilize with a slow-release fertilizer and water in. If weed killer on fertilizer, wait 24 hours and water in.

Apply second round of crabgrass preventer by June 15 only if label suggests. If grubs have been a problem in the past, apply a product containing imidacloprid during during the first half of July.

Fertilize and treat for weeds, if present.
