Most of Australia's 400,000 Chinese-born residents live in either NSW or Victoria. Some do live in Queensland & fewer still in Western Australia & South Australia.
Settlement records from last year show that only a small proportion of residential property in Queensland actually sold offshore. One in ten Brisbane dwellings sold to an overseas buyer during 2013.
